The weather is still being weird! Despite it supposedly being halfway through spring, we are still experiencing rainy days. Saturday was such a day, so it was perfect to just stay in bed all day and watch videos (even though I threw out my mattress in favour of sleeping on the floor. So technically not bed). Today, the day was markedly better, so I decided to walk down to the local shopping centre and have a browse.
I stopped by Dusk, which is a candle store, that also sells ... fake flowers! I'm trying to find things to boost my moods and reduce my stress, and although I'm not sure that candles will actually do anything... at least they smell nice. This one was the best one - smells so good! I really like sweet fruity scents over floral ones.
I bought a Tokyo guide book. I plan on going to Japan for a little while when I go to Korea next year (it was between Japan and China... Japan won), and although it is a year away... I want to be prepared! Yes, you can do all the research online, but I like books, and I feel that this will be a good base for me to start. Get an idea of the areas, plan a basic itinerary outline, and then fill in the gaps with online research. They gave me a travel diary for free! I took it... even though its just gonna sit on the shelf for the next 12 months.
I am a child. I carry my DS around and I will play games when I'm bored. Sure you can judge me, but last Thursday, when our building had a fire drill, I was not bored silly for half an hour. I played Animal Crossing - paid off my loan, and watered my plants. I swear, we must have the most fire drills out of all the buildings on our street. Thank god we're only on the 6th floor. Anyway, is it any surprise that I also enjoy anime. Now, there are many things I don't understand in Japanese popular culture, but I do like the whimsical nature of it all. I picked up the whole series of The Ouran High School Host Club for $50! They had the whole collection in a special edition packaging, but that was $10 more. I watch this a lot on youtube.. so I decided to go for it.
I also bought these Revlon nail strips from Myer. I've never tried them before, but they were so pretty! Due to my health lately, my nails have not been growing, but I've started using OPI's Nail Envy again so hopefully they'll grow out in time for Christmas.
These ones are on a clear backing, so I'll have to think of a pretty colour to lay as a base.
This set is on a beautiful deep red, and the gold contrast is really pretty. I've seen a lot of nail strips that look quite tacky, which is why I've never used them before. But these seem a bit more classy.
So pretty!!!
I'm going through my hard drives and looking at photos... more Seoul photos to come!
