As was previously mentioned, I bought myself a few more things, this time from Wish Trend. I like to get the Wish Box time to time, just because it gives you a chance to try different products. There's usually a theme to the box and you can get deluxe sample sizes as well as some full size items. The best part is you decide if its value for money - you can see what is inside before you buy. If you don't like what you see, you don't buy. Easy! They are also much more generous than Yes Style with their samples. The only downside would be that they don't stock the mainstream, road shop brands. But then there are plenty of places to find such items anyway.
I was going to try taking photos outside this weekend, but being winter, the weather was cloudy, so lighting inside or outside = not much difference. I really need to learn how to photoshop... when I used Cyworld years ago it was so much easier... but I don't have the program anymore :(
I always buy just enough to achieve free shipping. Otherwise, I see no point in buying from online sites - I might as well just get things from G market and get them sent from my relatives house. So I did get a fair amount of stuff from them. Also, they had special bonus gifts for purchases over $100, $130 and $150 I think... I used the code for the $100 one, even though I had more in my basket, mostly because I already had things from the other gift sets and I wasn't really too interested in having doubles of those items.
Shall we get started then?
First off are the samples - there's some BB cream samples, 2 masks, various skin creams and that sticker is for a good cause. You stick it on a book and pass it on for all to read! I'm going to try and find a book that is worthy of the cause.
Here are is the Fortune Hand Cream set from Elisha Coy. I'm trying to use hand cream more because its winter at the moment and I'm washing my hands twice as much as normal to avoid germs and the dreaded flu. As such, I've been using a lot of hand sanitiser as well as a lot of hand cream, because it just dries out the skin so much! Its also due to the fact that I get upset when men have softer hands than I do. I haven't tried it yet, because I have some hand creams I want to finish up first, but I liked the packaging. Its in the style of 화투 Hwatu, or Hanafuda in Japanese, which is a card game with 12 suits, each one representing a different month. I used to play it as a child with my mother, although my father never approved as he thought I might turn out to be a gambling addict. Luckily I didn't and I rarely go to the casino. Getting off track. The 10 is for October and that should be a deer, but when I was looking at it, I couldn't understand why there was a giraffe on it.
I love my eyeliner - and I have found that I enjoy Korean gel liners above other brands. I've tried things from the drug stores and the department store brands... but I truly do love my my Korean brands above all others. I had bought the box on the right a while back, but I got the blue set this time as there were new colours, and the tins are so cute! Each set contains five mini gel liners.
Aren't the colours just so pretty? I think I will love the khaki colour the most - because I'm currently on a olive/khaki phase and I can't seem to find a nice olive colour in western brands. I found a green one from Rimmel, but its kind of the colour that my veins show through, so it looks kind of strange. These ones have a little golden sparkle in them so its really pretty!
They were having a 2-for-1 deal on the Lyramoa Water Drop Mineral Powder. Very good!
The packaging has changed a bit though - I like it. The new packaging is the one on the left, the previous one is on the right. They are the same size, its just the angle that I've taken the picture that makes the new one look smaller. Also, its in a more slimming colour? I do like this, although it did break me out the first time I tried it. So did MAC.
It comes with a brush and two puff applicators (the other one is inside the container!)
They also had a 2-for-1 deal on this Argan Treatment Oil from Confume. I LOVE IT. I can see why people are on about Moroccan Oil and Argan Oil now. I've only used it for the past two days and the difference is amazing. My hair feels so much softer!
I had my hair permed in Korea before I came back, and I'm quite low maintenance/lazy when it comes to hair care. Shampoo, conditioner, 끝! As such, my hair was getting dry and ... crunchy. I did try those leave in treatments, but nothing. I've tried this on wet hair and dry hair and its great. Soft, smooth hair!
Each set comes with a large bottle with 120 mL and a smaller sample size of 25 mL. I only opened the small one so far - just in case I didn't like it. I will probably give one bottle to a friend to try. You can also use it on your hands and nails, as well as dry skin on your body - elbows and knees etc.
This Wish Box came in this silver wrapping - containing the following:
Ik's Real Aloe Moist Max Toner, Tosowoong Soft Touch Sun Cream, Klairs Illuminating Blemish Cream, Spa Scalp Scaling Shampoo and a small sample of Ciracle's Red Spot Cream.
This Rojukiss Natural Aqua Celtic Cream was also a part of the Wish Box - marked as a secret gift! Apart from the spot cream and shampoo, they were all full size products for $29.99 US. Not bad - considering buying two similar products in Australia would probably set me back about the same amount, if not more! I had a sniff of the cream, and its a very fresh, light, clean scent - just the kind I like. Not a fan of floral-y scents. I will probably try the toner after I finish the last few drops of my Missha Super Aqua hydrating toner. I've never had any bad reactions to trying Korean skin care - so fingers crossed it won't start now!
I got the brush cleaner from Mustaev - for those times when I'm too busy to clean brushes in between uses. Hopefully it will do the job!
Finally - items from the bonus set.
Khaki eyeliner from Liole
I'm not too sure about Liole - I've never come across it in Korean magazines, and I don't who the model is for the brand. For me, personally, the more recognised the star is representing the brand, the more inclined I am to trying it. If the brand wasn't good, why would they put their reputation on the line? Otherwise, I need to have seen it in a few magazines, or at least in a shop. I have not seen Liole anywhere except Youtube where non-Koreans, or overseas Koreans, are using it. I'm not sure how they have this international following, when no-one in the motherland seems to know the brand. It just seems to be weird to me. Maybe its only marketed towards Americans? We will try.
Deluxe sample size of Elisha Coy BB Cream - I've tried this before so its nice to get another one. I have enough BB cream so I don't need a full size, but its nice to be able to switch things up.
There was also this nail polish - its actually a pastel blue colour. I'll use it when spring pops around. There were also some makeup remover wipes, but you don't need a photo for that.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchases - it helps me get over the disappointment I felt that the limited edition palette at Shu Uemura was sold out at David Jones. I was only a little disappointed and a lot more annoyed. The stupid attendant told me to wait a little bit whilst she applied false lashes to a customer. Fine. Then she tells me about the line, what colours would match me, and lets me choose the things I want. Only to tell me half the things are sold out, and that I could purchase the normal black palette for $3 more. Idiot. I am clearly Asian, the only reason I would buy Shu Uemura, or really any department store brand in Australia, is because I really need it, or because its limited edition. Why waste my time when you could have told me straight away that the line had sold out? Why would I want to pay $3 more for the plain black one? That's what the girls at MAC do! They tell you straight away - or help you source one. That's customer service.
Got off track again. I'm happy with the items that I've bought, and I can't wait to try out some of these new products! I would recommend visiting the site - the current Wish Box is still available, as are the 2 for 1 offers on the Argan oil and Mineral Powder. They ship to many countries, and there's free standard shipping on orders over $70, and free express shipping on $130.
